If you push on the black round piece with your thumb the spike shoots right into your finger lol. I wasn't familiar with these so I learned the fun way. They work as designed.

Highly recommend. I have at least two ways to break the windshield and/or windows and cut the seatbelt on every car I own.

Very good tools, could save a life. It should be noted though that this is the second pack I bought because one of the ones from a previous pack broke!! The spring just isn't working anymore. So just be aware that they could let you down when you need it most!
