Where I live, there are beautiful insects and spiders. Notably, the Eastern Tiger swallowtail and recently introduced, the gorgeous Joro spider. I like to observe these and others.Anyone who knows the Joro spider knows that sometimes, the webs are inconveniently in front of porches and decks. A gentle removal is required. This is the net I use. It telescopes so I can reach far. The net is wide enough for my purposes and strong to manage the brush in the backyard woods. It is light, so a one-handed reach is easy.Note: Do not use this for fish. This is a big upgrade from the one I had as a kid that I bought at the Ben Franklin. So far, I am pleased and fully recommend this net.Anthony Trendl

Easy to transport due to telescoping handle. Net material did not snag when capturing Monarchs.

One of my friend's parakeets got injured and needed to be caught to be put in the hospital cage and treated. We had to chase that poor bird around the room for several minutes, till she was panting so hard, before we finally caught her. Her breathing was so heavy at that point that I was seriously worried about her health, though thankfully she made a full recovery. After that I immediately purchased this net for my friend, so she would never again need to chase a parakeet to the point of exhaustion, and wow, apparently it's been a bit of a lifechanger. I can't even count how many times she's thanked me for this net! I've used it once or twice myself and it definitely takes some skill and technique, but it does work well for catching parakeets.

For some reason which only they know birds and small mammals want to come into my screened in porch and then have trouble finding an easy exit. I was able to capture and remove them with this net without doing them or me any harm.

Good quality product. Very sturdy and rigid design. However, if you intend to use it to catch bugs and lizards on the wall or ceiling of your home (like we did), its rigid design makes it very difficult to place the ring flatly against the surface to seal around the critter; which ends up in a wild chase around the house! Otherwise, this is a very good product and collapses for convenient storage.

Works perfectly for intended purpose- catching escaped hospital birds in the treatment area. The diameter is generous, the net is soft and long enough to swish the bird in with a twirl to flop the bird safely in the enclosed netting. When the bird is immobilized and safe, it is carefully extricated by hand and returned to hospital cage. A skillful hospital worker needs a fully extended net (birds go as high as they can!) that is sturdy and easy to handle.

Telescoping handle will not lock and hoop connection bolt arrived bent. This net might be ok for casual use, but does not last long with regular use.

Used to net monarch butterflies for taggingNet needs to be about 4-6 inches longer. Otherwise works well.
