This was bigger than I thought but a wonderful surprise! It has weight to it but it light. The color is amazing (hot pink/raspberry) & cleaning a breeze. It's very sturdy & will last forever. I plan on getting one in another color - plum. (I have a colorful kitchen). Highly recommend!

I, like others, missed the part of the description where it said this was made of plastic. Which I guess I can’t fault them, because it IS in the description. I, however, was looking for a ceramic one. I guess for a plastic spoon rest it isn’t bad, it’s just not what I was looking for. I wanted a ceramic spoon rest that I could rest hot utensils on and put near a hot stove. I do like the rich bright color. Adds some pop of color to the kitchen. I will give it 5 stars even though it was not what I was looking for, it was my own fault for not noticing that it was plastic. I guess for a plastic spoon rest, if that is what you are expecting to get, you will probably be happy with it.

As others have pointed out, it has a high arch so that some spoons teeter in it causing sauce to drip the other way. But for other spoons it's fine. It IS nice and big, but it definitely looks plasticky and shiny in the red and frankly, it doesn't fit into my decor. It remains hung up under the cabinet in the back...going back to my chipped ceramic one.

Definitely large enough to fit any spoon you might use on the stove. I had no idea what melamine was when I ordered it but looked it up after it arrived and was pleasantly surprised. It's a flame retardant material, which makes a lot of sense for something that could otherwise catch on fire if it was just some cheap plastic. I suppose I even like the idea of this more than ceramic since that would certainly break before this. It feels very sturdy, yet not brittle. It's a nice deep black. Also, it's melting point is very high, 345 °C or 653 °F . You should be kept very safe using something like this. I put it right in between my gas stove burners. Even if they are on high, nothing happens to it and no smells. I've flung it across the kitchen before just for fun and yeah, it didn't even scratch hardly. This material is pretty cool. I have since ordered myself a double spoon rest that is much more useful for me cooking on the stove. Of course it's still this material. Another thing that is great. It cools down pretty darn quick too, unlike the ceramic ones that hold a lot of heat.

Even though it is plastic, it looks like ceramic and beautiful turquoise color that perfectly matches other accessories. Recommend this one!

Love these! I have the yellow and the red ones and they are both for creamer, sugar, etc. spoons. Looks great on my counter where they have a permanent place.

En la descripción no se indica que es de plástico; esperaba que fuese de cerámica, pero el plástico es de muy buena calidad, el color es exacto como el de la imagen y resulta muy útil para reposar los utensilios de cocina. La recibà muy rápido.
