If your looking for a really nice and sturdy gate for your kids/dogs... Look no further this gate is an easy install and really keeps dogs/kids from certain areas of the house. I didn't know they sent zip ties and that was definitely a bonus cause I had to put a gate at the bottom of my staircase and I couldn't drill holes in my hard wood. The zip ties worked just as well as if you were using the nails. Everything they described in the descriptions was accurate. Definitely a 5 STAR item! I already bought 2 and I'm buying another one for my sister house. She was shocked at how good it looks and how well it holds up against our kids/dog. Let's just say it was love at first sight for the both of us! **They also provide the video of how to install in the description, if you're unable to follow the paper instructions.** I'm telling you this company thought of everything it seems.

I gave the gate a 5 star because it is a great gate. It functions well and looks like the pictures. Worth the money - just depends on what you want to use it for. It was my own fault for not thinking it through before purchasing.That being said - if you are buying it to prevent a dog from going into certain areas of the house, this is Not the gate for you. The gate fabric is can be pushed up from the bottom very easily. My corgi figured out how to get under it within an few minutes and it never fails that he will zip right through as if it isn’t even there or like it’s just a fun little obstacle set up just for him.It might be ok as a deterrent for a dog that isn’t otherwise obnoxious, but if they have an ounce of creativity or mischievousness, they’ll figure it out pretty quick.

Once installed it’s easy to use and sturdy. It has a locking function so slightly older kids who could open it may not be able to easily open it and forget to close it.

We did a lot of reviewing before this purchase. We needed something that would keep schnauzers out of part of the house, fit into this hallway, allow air flow through into to the airflow return and did not want something we had to step over (rod/bar along the bottom)- one more thing to trip on. This met all our needs, works well, easy to install. Watch video online of female young mother installing.NOTE:1) We had to attach the lower mounting piece (on the right) higher than instructions show because our old house walls are not plumb. Mounting closer to the floor did not allow mounting piece to lay flat/flush against the wall. red circle2) If a rug will go under the gate confirm the clearance off the floor on both sides. red & blue arrow3) Because of the double base board sticking out from wall and floor it's difficult to hook into the bottom latch (left side) with just one hand. The rod hits the base board. Not a game changer. blue arrow4) Consider traffic flow. we mounted the main part on the side of the hallway that does not have someone walking around to enter the bedroom. Less chance of bumping into it or something your carrying snagging onto it.66 year old female attached to the wall with supervision of spouse. Yes, anyone can do this. Power drill needed.Dogs not so happy, but pawrents are.

I received faulty brackets to mount on the wall. The seller has made it impossible to contact them directly to have this matter resolved, there wasn’t contact information in my package and there’s no way of messaging them through Amazon. I will update this review if they reach out to me to confirm where I can buy replacement parts.

This was a pretty good gate overall, but had some big problems for us. Our pug puppy was able to push through the bottom and get down the stairs, which could be dangerous if she fell. Our cat was also able to easily get under, rendering it essentially useless. We got it to keep our little pets safe from the stairs, but instead it was a safety concern as they would push through with force. It was sturdy enough to keep our roommates big dog from going through, and was a good size to fit well in the hallway. It was fairly easy to open, though sometimes took a little too long for high energy dogs. Our other issue though, was that it left big holes in wall of our rented home. Not ideal- would recommend for houseowners with big dogs or bigger children only.

We use this whenever we need to separate our toddler from our dog. Worked great, until our kid did too many pull-ups and the drywall anchors came out 😂. Maybe most people wouldn’t have that problem? But if you do, it’s easily fixed by using long screws and going into the studs. Still works great!We love it because it’s completely out of the way when not in use, so not a trip hazzard like other types of baby gates. And it looks much better than the other types, in our opinion.
