OK, anyone expecting an Ops-Core Gentex SOTR for under thirty bucks is delusional, and you are never going to fool an operator that it’s the real thing; but for one-tenth of the price this is actually a pretty good Chinese-made replica!I cannot attest to its ability to filter particulates compared to actual respirators, but it’s just as good if not better than the M95 paper masks that were so prevalent during the pandemic!I haven’t seen a real SOTR for years so I can’t make any comparisons between one and this, but I have a buddy who I believe still has his and I will see how they match up. I am keeping my expectations realistic as just based on the Ops-Core Gentex SOTR O2 straps I still have for my helmet there is no confusing the replica ones with the real thing.But for less than $30 I am not complaining. This mask actually fits and functions well, and I expect it would suffice for training or Air Soft events. For an actual environment with hazardous particulate matter, I would still go with a respirator made and certified to the standards needed.
