Assembly’s pretty straightforward, but be forewarned that the slides have 0 tolerance. If they aren’t perfectly level, square, and spaced apart, it won’t close easily. You’ll have to tinker around with the back mounts to get them set just right.Overall quality seems really good. Happy with the product, just took a bit more effort to install than I was expecting.

We had to replace our second, base mounted metal slide out unit. A friend of ours had something like this and it just looked a lot nicer and more durable than what we had so we ordered this one. Very impressed with the quality of the wood and hardware. Made in China? Yes, but who cares.....it's very good quality and frankly better than I expected! As for price, it was actually about the same price I paid for the crappy one I had that my kitchen cabinet guy had to special order for me. From that perspective.....excellent value in my book. As for installation, yes, it's a bit tricky because you are working in a tight space and need to be able to get to the back of the cabinet. That said, it really isn't rocket science! Read the directions..........then read them again, and then again, and maybe again before you get started! Understand them and learn them before you start as opposed to trying to figure out what they mean on the fly. Go slow, measure everything three or four times, and have some patience. If you follow the directions, use a level, and measure distances properly it shouldn't take more than an hour or two. I had to redo things once or twice to get it just right but it looks great and works flawlessly. And I'm not a carpenter!!

The produce is very well made. The sliders are high quality and slide out fully. The wood parts that hold the containers are very well put together with dovetail joints just as you see in the ad, a reasonable mix of plywood and solid wood, and lacquer finish. And it comes assembled so you don't have to puzzle about that. The instructions are understandable, with very nice diagrams. My only complaint was that they did not mention anything some of my particular setup. I'll describe that here:For reference, the first image is a before image. I had to remove a shelf, and note that my cabinet doors are inset: the edges are cut so that they are partly inside the cabinet, if that makes sense. All the descriptions and drawings in the documentation were for flat doors that apparently close flat against the front panel of the cabinet. This resulted in a 3/8" gap (see the 4th image showing the cabinet door after installing the unit. Once I realized the problem, I removed the front screw where the sliders attach to the front panel, and screwed them in 3/8" farther into the cabinet. There is a slide at the back end of each slider that allowed me to move it back. The problem for me was that I had to install a block to screw into because the front panel was not thick enough. You can see the block in the 5th picture, looking down from the top. Now I was able to make the front door fit perfectly.I was confused by the instructions about how to screw the sliders into the front panel. You can see in figure 2 that the slider does not look like the diagram (their Fig E in step 4). The diagram doesn't show the ball bearing slide which obscures the rectangular holes. It took me a while to realize that I could adjust that slide as shown in image 3 to allow me to screw it to the frame.A final confusion was that the instructions include 3 ways to measure and install the front cabinet door. There are 2 ways in the main instructions, and I also got a second set of instructions just for installing the door with yet a different way. It was all very complicated so it was easier for me to ignore all 3 methods and just work it out on my own.Given the complications I described, and having to redo some things because of them, it took me several hours to install it, not the 30-40 minutes they mentioned. But I don't mean to complain too much about that because probably most people have to adjust some things. It is a very solid construction and I'm very pleased with it.

I ordered this for our kitchen redesign. Cabinets are solid wood face, and 18 years old, so irreplaceable if i messed up. I did need to add blocking to the back of my cabinet because it is a counter deep one. I also waited to attach my new cabinet pulls until trash can was installed to get the handle placement right. Extremely sturdy, great slides, and rolls well(once i edited my cabinet face.) I did measure, but my old cabinets where just two millimeters off on each side(just enough that it didn't slide in and out without scraping). I fixed this by using a Dremel tool and "sanding" the two sides at the face install location on each side, ONLY where the bar was screwed. Trial and error made it take about an hour to install. I really love it now that it is in. I recommend a solid door pull, centered on cabinet for ease of use, as it still has a bit of friction.my own critical is the back bag is hard to get out when full, as the unit doesn't pull completely out. But I still love it. And the plastic bin sizes are a good size for a family of five.

Many, many years ago, a contractor installed this into our kitchen. it worked great, but after many years, one of the ball bearings got jammed, and I was able to fix it with a plier easily. After looking at the unit, we decided based on visual wear and tear we wanted to replace it. I found the manufacturer and part number on the bottom of the basket and ordered the new one.Today we installed it, and it only took minutes because everything fit perfectly even after all these years. We only needed one screwdriver.I love that I have both my recyclable and garbage baskets in one drawer.

I am not handy but was able to install this in about 75 minutes. It slides so well. Comes with the trash cans. Does not have lids.

The product is wonderful. We did however receive the wrong size. We ordered a smaller unit that would have fit into our existing cabinet and were very discerning about the size. The code was different and it was the next size up. We were on a time-line and my husband is very handy so he renovated to fit it under our counter. It was challenging but worked out well in the end.

Works great. Way better than the one that gets installed on the bottom of the cabinet. It's strong and holds the weight well.
