These mitts are more comfortable than the leather ones we use in class. They fit a little bit tighter, and the extra padding helps protect the hand better which is a plus for female users (my girlfriend had to constantly readjust the leather ones, and she would have to take a break every so often to rest her hands). They are extremely durable, and I see a long life of usage from them.

Bought a pair for my MT / KB gym and love them! It’s much better than slapping with the palm of regular pads and allows to teach defense more effectively.These pads replace all other focus mitts but not Thai-pads as they don’t offer enough resistance / absorption to train kicks.

I like the Phoenix mitts. They fit comfortably and take some abuse. There is a grip handle underneath the back pad, so your hand isn't free floating inside. ( Just like a thai pad grip). They are very lightweight and hold up just fine to a 200lbs striker. Just keep in mind they likely won't be long enough to cover your entire forearm.

Looked so cool in the picture, I was excited about welcoming these mitts home for xmas....But it was an absolute disappointment. Returned for a refund....Cons:Very stiff - very little breathing room for hands inside the mitt...Too hard - Despite ample padding and the gel, the mitts are very hard, if you punch without gloves it hurts your fingers... I was looking for something where the padding feels softer...Poor built - feels very cheap for the price...Pros:Almost noneFeels durable, could work okay if you use gloves to punch...person holding the training mitts must have small hands...
