There are a lot of these sets but I settled on this one for the reviews, price, and amount of spacers. Even with the amount they give you, you will want more spacers. But that's not a fault of this product as it already has a lot more than the comparable products.This set has a two-sided mallet - I found the yellow metal side ideal for hammering boards on the long groove side together and the rubber ideal for hammering boards on the short end into each other. The spacers are in two pieces like a wedge and you do have to put two of them together to get the proper edge spacing you need for installing a laminate floor like Pergo.This set also comes with a small pry bar with a long and short edge. This worked great when reaching the end of the row to seat all the floor boards into each other tightly. Just slip the shorter edge against the wall on either side and hammer it from both sides to ensure they are connected.The tapping block worked amazingly well but you do have to be careful that the block is always flat on the floor so the groove of your plank is within the groove on the block so as not to damage it. A few times I caught it not seated which caused me to break the groove on a board and render it unusable.I would recommend you have a weightier mallet to use for hammering boards down to lock them in place however, as I feel like trying to do that with this mallet would be near impossible.As far as durability - I had no problems with the mallet coming apart as some reviews mentioned. At the end of the project, flooring a 300 sq. ft. room, at maybe about 5'x5' or so left, the tapping block was really significantly damaged but still looked like it would survive for another project. There is a sticker with the company name on it which had come off almost completely, and there were some serious bending and dents in the side where I was hammering it from, but the groove edge was fine.Overall a set like this is a necessity for installing laminate flooring. I think this set was high quality for not being high price. I wish it came with more spacers but like I mentioned the amount it comes with is already more than most of the others do. I would give 5 stars but the mallet is deceivingly small. Probably my error not looking at product size. The materials are high quality and it does what supposed to. My old mallet was 5 times circumference and I’ve already replaced with larger one. For typical homeowners this will work. If you’re installing a lot of flooring I’d get set with larger mallet.

Definitely worth it, just for the mallet itself. It was cheaper to buy a package like this than a single mallet. I used it to install flooring this week, occasionally the mallet head would get loose but it took 2 seconds to retighten. I also appreciated it when removing carpet nail strips rather than hearing a metal hammer bang on a metal crowbar, the mallet muted the loud metal on metal noise echoing in an empty room. 10/10 recommend.

Everything worked good for laminate flooring installation except the spacers. Had to buy better spacers, these did not stay in place and kept falling over.

Recently had to lay about 300 square feet of laminate flooring by myself. I usually work with another contractor who has a set like this. I did not want to borrow his so I bought this kit. I am very happy with the product. I especially like the addition of the wedges for maintaining the gap between flooring and wall. I am sure I will get a lot of use out of this kit.

J’ai commandé ce produit car je croyais que c’était solide , après qlq he’s utilisations et même avant de finir le parquet du salon, le morceaux orange s’est abîmé , c’est vrai le marteau a l’air de solide mais il faut les deux pièces pour bien placé le parquet

Me ayudo a colocar el piso laminado de mi recamara, principalmente para no maltratar las orillas de las hojas y hacer el ajuste de las q quedan en las orillas por su colocación y sujeción con las demas. Lo recomiendo.
