It's a good lens, nice and sharp, relatively light weight. I hold my camera for hours at a time, so I didn't want one of the big, heavy L series zoom lenses. The autofocus works perfectly. They say it creates a lot of distortion, but I have Lightroom set to do lens corrections when I import the images from the memory card, so honestly I can't say how much there is. It stays on my R62 almost all the time now.

Smaller and lighter than the 24-70mm L version. It’s worth the money in every way. I actually sold my L lens due to the extra weight. In my opinion, It’s just as sharp, stabilized well, and performs perfectly. Yes, we lose 4mm of width, but in the scheme of things, it doesn’t effect the use too much. In my case I also own a 14-35mm lens for super wide images. If I have one fault with it, it’s the expanding the lens to 28mm notch prior to being able to use the lens. I realize however that this design is why the lens can remain so compact in a backpack. It’s a very minor issue.

Beautiful and inexpensive lens compared to it's L brother.... small, compact, lightweight and gets the job done. Used it on first wedding and mannn....... i was blown away

This thing is Tac Sharp and extremely fast. At 2.8, with some weather resistance, I am not really sure why you would get the L Lens.

This is the perfect general-purpose lens for my R8 and RP. It has excellent center sharpness at 2.8 and a nice bokeh throughout the zoom range. Only gets 4 stars due to the hefty price tag and overall weight of the lens.

I rarely review for product in amazon but this lens takes me some times to write some text.The built quality is excellent with weather resistant, same as L lens.The images and footages completely outstanding same as my current lens prime like 35mm or 50mm f1.8.I rated 9/10 for such lens. Just -1 because of the missing red ring.
