I've had this ring and I have NOT been gentle with it, it's awesome. Works great, hasn't broken, totally worth it, fits snuggly, easiest way to open doors now. There's one down side. Occasionally it'll just not work for a while, maybe a temperature thing? It'll start working eventually again. Doesn't matter if you blank it and rewrite it. Totally go for it.

reads easily. No problems using it. Straight-forward as described, I use it for my condo access, looks like I'm fist bumping the reader to get into the building. It leaves the others perplexed, like a party trick.
