The LAFULIT brand light strips we bought came only in 20" increments. When you need to add a shorter strip length to complete your run, just cut the excess from the middle of the strip, then splice the two ends together with one of these gizmos for an instant snug short-free connection. Worked perfectly on my installation.

The 8mm size was good for my outdoor waterproof LED Xmas lights (I had previously ordered 10mm connectors and they were too large). The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is because I had to cut off some of the plastic waterproof covering from the lights in order to close the connector. Overwrapping the connection with some electrical tape should provide enough seal for the repaired lights to get through the holidays.

I wish I would have known about these connectors sooner. They make connecting LED strips a breeze! Soldering these connectors are a major pain in the backside and is incredibly time consuming. I was able to connect my LED strips together in a matter of seconds. Open the end, insert the strip and squeeze closed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!These connectors also worked to connect strips that I had cut which were "damaged" the solder pad was missing from the strip, but the way this pierces the strip, it was still able to make proper contact. It saved my lights from ending up in the trash.

I have cabinets with different widths, you need to buy 8mm splices to shorten length of LEDs so they match cabinet size right. They function well and are bright enough after sizing to meet my needs.

Didn't work for my solex lights. Tried multiple times different positions made sure the metal contact was lined up and yes made sure the right direction. Just didn't work. So I ended up ordering another box of the solex lights and added to my lights.

These connectors were simple to use for my RGB lights, but they're fairly thick. I'm putting my strip in aluminum channel (the 45 degree angle kind) with diffuser over it. The diffuser won't QUITE snap into place over the connector. It's working out ok since they're on the ceiling and it's snapped into place the rest of the length, so you don't notice the bulge, but it'd be great if these were a little thinner.

If you read the instructions carefully you shouldn't have any problems at all! This was a CHEAP solution of joining two strips together. My use was for under bed mood lighting.Given that I'm not in the business of soldering things like this, it was an inexpensive way to join two of similar 3 pin products together.TIP: the Sticky Side of the strip should be on the flap part that moves. When trimming the three tabs, don't split it in half, give yourself a little bit more of the strips, so that the sharp ends can dig into it properly.Lastly read the vendor's instructions AGAIN, then look closely at the online photos before attempting it! I only used finger power to close the clasp, and it was sufficient to get the job done.

This seems like an easy fast fix to strip lighting. However it requires some skill and a lot of care to ensure the connection is good and the strip will function.
