works great and if the clamps aren't big enough there is a bolt with a washer on the underside to mount in the track with no clamps

Really holds 4 fishing rods nice secure and tight.. soft padding but dense.. secure with locks.. personally I stuck mine in channel as it’s a rhino rack product on a rhino rack.. so can’t be removed while locked.. feels durable.. only down side it doesn’t stay open that well for loading as they kinda should have made it slightly taller for the opening in back.Just a tip, if you don’t want it to whistle in channel.. cut the rubber strip after installing and use a tool to push it down under the opening below it to fill the gap.. I used a pry tool ( plastic ) to just push in the ridge down and level the top took about 5-10mins but it’s nice and quiet after and looks nicer with no missing rubber under it.

This product was pretty quick and easy to install. Just make sure you tighten everything with the provided Allen wrench (which is the only tool you need), as clamps comes shipped slightly loose to enable users to easily install right out of the box. This doesn't create any noticeable additional wind noise, it doesn't rattle, it's all around solid at highway speeds (60-80 mph). The clamps click down nicely on fishing rods, preventing the rods from wobbling at all, giving me a nice sense of assurance that I won't scatter fishing rods all over the highway. Four average size fishing rods should be easy to comfortably secure in the 10 inch Rhino-Rack carrier. However, with two 9-ft and one 10-ft spinning rod, it barely leaves any room for an additional rod, mainly because of the larger spinning reels.I installed this product on top of a 2023 CX-30 equipped with aftermarket crossbars. Since it's a fairly small subcompact SUV, I have to remove the rods from the roof before I can open the trunk to avoid scratching up the liftgate with protruding rods. I can't clamp down on the much thicker fishing rod handles, so this forces me to position the rods between the clamps in a way that gets in the way of the liftgate .This isn't too much of an inconvenience, as the benefits far outweigh the negatives.Since my car is small, fitting rods in it can be a clumsy mess when bundled with other fishing equipment or downright impossible with one-piece fishing rods. Additionally, I wanted to avoid the issue of having dirty fishing rods graze against the interior, making it filthy and leaving an odor. If you have a small car with limited cargo space and want to avoid messing up the interior, this product is a great fit.

I bought these ski/fishing today racks to transport my surf fishing rods while traveling to and from fishing spots. The installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. It's a simple 1 person job. I did need a short ladder to mount the front rack on my truck caps ladder rack. The rear rack was accessible by staning on my tail gate. The are solid, well built and operate smoothly. Highly recommend!

This product is super nice. It looks cool and is super handy for snowboards. It easily fits 4 boards. It is extremely solid in high winds, which was my original concern as we often drive through Wyoming on I-80 to get from CO to UT. (If you know you know)I only have two complaints, the first is With 4 boards it is extremely difficult to latch shut by myself, (requiring a grown man to put his entire weight into pulling it down) but with 2 boards I have no problem. The second, is that when there are no boards, it vibrates SO LOUD. But, there isn’t anything that can be done about that, every brand of the same product will do the same.

I've owned a similar roof rack, but not the RHINO brand. I had to get rid of my old roof rack (Thule or Yakima-- one of those two; I forgot), so thought maybe I give Rhino Rack's a try since I needed something to hold 4 snowboards on top of my SUV and it seemed like the best bang for my buck rather than spending a premium on the other brands. My biggest complaint is that it's a struggle to load 4 boards on top. Let's start from good to bad....The good-- upon opening and initial inspection, it's a very good looking roof rack. Black, clean, and sleek looking if you're trying to go for looks as well on your car/truck. I was since I have a two-toned black and white color SUV. It feels durable and quality looks to be top notch even though it's mainly plastic-- good enough for me. It was very easy to install and the directions are very straight forward. It does seem like it could deter thieves since it has a special tool for mounting, but I've always had the mentality that if somebody really wanted to, then they'll be able to steal it. Either way, looks good enough and so far so good on appearance and quality. The bad-- the temperatures dropped to single digits here in Minnesota, and it's time to hit the slopes. Loaded all 4 boards on top like I always do, but the clamps/latches would NOT snap down into place. Again, it's not user error since I've owned a similar rack before and know how to load 4 snowboards on top. A couple of adjustments and FORCING it down it finally clamped shut. I'm thinking the cold temperatures may have hardened the rubber to not allow it a little give to clamp over the boards-- OK, but it shouldn't be this hard since I've never had a problem with my old racks clamping down in cold weather, so we'll give it another try.Second part now-- locking it into place. This was where the frustration grew and I was unable to turn the key now that there seems to be so much force/pressure on the latches. I think the design is to blame here because I could NOT do this one alone and did not want to hit the road without it locking into place thinking that it might pop open on the highway (BIG NO NO!). I had to get a ladder and stand high enough to put pressure on the latches and a SECOND person turning the key to lock it into place. Finally we got the 1st one to lock, and onto the 2nd clamp. Same deal and same amount of pressure-- got it both! Made the trip and it worked as expected, but I did have a feeling on the back of my mind of it popping open due to the added pressure/stress on the latches.Return trip from the slopes-- brought my mini-step ladder (shouldn't have to, right?!) and did the same steps with my 2nd helper to reload the snowboards. First lock was the same level of effort as the first time, and now the 2nd latch was NOT cooperating. No matter the amount of pressure the key would not turn and lock it into place. Every time we get the key to turn, the latch would pop up and we're back at step 1. Lot's of failed attempts-- maybe the cold weather finally got to it after it sat in the parking lot for a couple of hours in the cold. IDK-- again never had this problem with my other racks of same size and function. Anyways, we all made the decision that one locked is better than not having any of them locked, so I slammed shut the 2nd latch and left it without locking the key (keep in mind instructions/directions say to LOCK BOTH latches and not just have it shut). Made it home and luckily the latches never popped up and the boards stayed in tact. You get the picture now-- added stress of driving with only 1 latch that was locked and hoping that it doesn't just pop off altogether. The other part where I literally had to carry a step ladder to be able to apply enough pressure from the top to latch all the boards with a 2nd person turning the key.... cmon man!I'm leaving for another trip in a week and hopefully the weather is a bit warmer than last time, but again it should NOT be this difficult to latch up 4 snowboards. My old roof rack fits 4 boards and it was easy to snap the latches and lock them into place. Didn't even need a ladder of any sort or apply that much pressure (I'm 6ft and 220 pounds). If I struggle to get this going again, then I'm going with a return and pay a little more for a different brand-- Thule or Yakima.Very disappointed at this time, but will provide an update.Minnesota Customer - Installed on 2021 4Runner.

Nice product like all rhino rack products I've tried. Only negative is the ski mounts required accessory bars to mount them to my pioneer rack and the bars are high priced for what they are.

I'm using this for fishing rods as I don't have room in my vehicle for them. I can fit four fishing rods in this perfectly. Works great.

I wasn’t sure what type of rack to BT for our snowboards but I have to say I’m very happy with this one. Installation was easy and it’s very simple to install. I’d definitely buy it again.

As advertised - holds 3 large capacity reel rods comfortably. Purchased this mainly for fly-rods, no need to take-down now when travelling from river to river. The “con” .. it recommends locking the rack when travelling … no problem, but the locks have 2 different keys !? ( suggest this get sorted before purchasing - 1 key for everything please ). That said - I’ve locked the front, left back unlocked - no problem yet.

The ski racks work perfectly. If using the plastic bar clamps that come with it, definitely make sure not to over tighten the hex key bolts they will break without warning. I does say right on them in the plastic not to over tighten. If using the T-bar attachment method (by removing the bar clamp plastic foot) it lowers the overall height by about 1”

Looks great quality and fit well. Lock seized on first trip up the mountain so unable to open and use. Disappointed. Maybe just an isolated issue.?
