About this item

  • Quick Release Clutch
  • Stick friendly playing edge
  • Great Rhythm Tech sound
  • Light Frame
  • Solid construction

Rhythm Tech pioneered the original and much imitated Hat trick 15 years ago, A simple Hi-Hat Tambourine that gave drummers a way to play tambourine patterns with their Hi-Hat pedal. Now we offer the hat trick G2. A significant step ahead featuring a unique quick release knob that makes it fast and easy to put it on and take off the hi-hat pull rod. Additionally the G2 incorporates a stick friendly Soft playing surface, so stick patterns can be used as well as the foot pedal. A super strong polymer frame keeps it light and responsive while the famous rhythm Tech Nickel or brass jingles give it its classic rhythm Tech sound.

Holds onto the hi hat rod really well. Compact and sounds great. Glad I added this to my set.

Great sound and quick release make the G2 a great addition to a kit. This is my first venture into using a tambourine with my kit in all these years. It is light and small enough that you could leave attached to the hi-hat while playing the hi-hat only, but releases and is removed in seconds if desired. Also, has a very nice rubber coating for stick play that sounds great. Like how the jingles hang freely instead of incased within the tambourine itself. Adds to a more crisp sound. Very much worth the price. Would like to a future version to add more jingles to hear the effect

My son is a drummer.nad he heard a song and tried to figure out what was making this sound Well we found it!!! This product works great. Love the way it very easy to remove from high hat and place on. That is nice. The sound that meshes along with the high hat is great.

I've been using it with a country artist to help replicate the tambourine that's on every single track. Does a pretty nice job. The brass isn't too bright. I don't care for the sound when hit with a stick (not very powerful), but maybe you'll like it.

I researched a lot when it came to buying this for my kit. I read some negative reviews and honestly I don't agree w any of them. The sound of the chick is bright and loud enough to cut through, especially when striking the hat trick itself. I'm a fan of the nickel because it seems brighter but that is a matter of opinion. Cannot say much about durability for the simple fact I have not had it very long. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend buying it. It added a great sound to my hats..and just filled the sound out when playing the hat w my foot..and striking the rim just adds another option while playing. Can't beat the price...good deal.

It’s so-so. It’s not super loud and it doesn’t lock well to the high hat post. It slides down. I bought a second (different high hat tambourine and put it below this one with a spacer ring to keep this one from sliding down on top of the second one I purchased. The two work well together. Much louder and different tones when you strike them. By itself it’s really not very usable because it doesn’t lock well and isn’t very loud.

The sound I'm looking. I use it U2 songs. This is the 2nd one I have had and love the sound.

I wanted to love this item, but for no apparent reason ( I have NEVER used my sticks on it, I use it mainly as an accent), the "tambourines" started to fall out! Pretty odd, and very disappointing. It was very convenient, just wish it was durable in the slightest.
