We use this for our hermit crabs. We use 3 bricks for our 25.5 gallon tank and it leaves us with about 6-7†deep of substrate. It smells like crapBut the hermits very much enjoy it and it lasts a long time. Does well with the humidity levels and is light and fluffy when you mix it 5:1 with play sand. Good product!

My tortoise loves it. Usually I use eco earth but after using this..I think I will switch to this kind from now on. It's very soft and not like eco earth there's always sticks and big pieces of stuff in it. This cost a little more but it is worth it. Great quality. Highly recommended.

Needed a ball python friendly substrate that would help hold moisture and this definitely does the job! Able to cover a thin layer in a 20 gallon tank with just one block.

Just what i ordered but it was a compressed block. ill never order the block again. it was hard to break to put in terrarium. but it was just what i needed

There were pieces of plastic in this substrate. It was no problem to pick them out, but it makes me wonder if there are micro-plastics that could hurt my critters. So far, so good though.

Brilliant coconut mix here, easy to use. I was surprised at first when it was in blocks?, you just soak it in water , very straightforward, I was used to using a forest substrate, the only reason I switched to coconut mulch substrate was because the forest dirt mix would attract flies more so than the coconut and on another plus side , the coconut mix smells alright too, instead of earthy smell you would usually get. Highly recommend for your insect pets !

This product is fantastic. I was previously using soil which was messy and smelt after time. This substrate is clean and doesn't attract any extra flies etc. My snails really enjoy it and it helps to keep their temperature steady.
