I didn't buy it for softness, but instead to remove winter hair from my horse. I have a 5 step removal system and this is one of them. Have used for 25 years and it is great.

As the title says it's a very hard brush. It would probably be great on caked in mud but it's not an every day brush. However it feels like it very good quality
