Works just as advertised. No more broken hose clamps. Do not turn after max torque has been reached or you will over tighten and subsequently break your clamp.

No more using an impact or 6 in 1 to tighten bands.

I bought this no hub wrench thinking it would be just like the old ones the old guys use that are all beat up and cruddy but still kicking. this new RIGID is seemingly nice, its heavy and aesthetically pleasing but upon further inspection and some initial use, it does seem a bit on the cheap side for a rigid tool. Perhaps its because its made in china and the ones back in the day were USA? I'm not sure but I own a Wheeler Rex torque wrench (also not US made) for the larger 3/8" Husky bands and it is alot better quality and the lock mechanism is way better where as on the rigid its a flimsy thin pressed metal piece. I would recommend a Raptor or Wheeler Rex torque wrench over the Rigid sadly.

I am a Journeyman plumber that has done lots of cast. I have had 3-5 other ones from local plumbing wholesaler for which most have not lasted, especially the recent cheapos they have in stock now. This feels heavier and better built. Glad I did not believe other review saying it felt cheap cause I felt the opposite. Ridgid has a good name in plumbing/sprinkler fitting and I feel this tool is well made, but, I just got it and have used it only one day, so, time will tell longetivity.
