2. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage between “I+” and “I-”, it is active if the value is 0V; it is passive if the value is 24V.

PROS: Works well and very accurate. You can even calibrate it. It's nice to have the option of using the internal power supply (either powered by the internal battery or 5V mini USB plug) or via the 24V pass-through.CONS: Connections a little fidgety, made via a screw-down terminal block. I would love to have multimeter style banana plugs instead.

Calibration was decent from the factory. Unfortunately the directions are written in very broken English and can be difficult to decipher. But the two basic modes are easy enough to understand. I approve of the choice to include terminal supplies rather than pre-assembled wires, as I was able to make my own set easily.

looks rugged and solid. I already tested its functionality and it works perfect. I am a travelling technician so we will see how it holds up in my toolbox from plane to plane all over the country and world, but for now it looks very promising.

This unit was very easy to use and the output was accurate according to the Fluke multimeter I checked it with.
