We just moved into a house that had a ring camera. Previous owner didn’t leave anything for it behind. This tool is perfect for it and easy to use when I have to pop the battery out.

My ring doorbell pro, which I recently ordered off Amazon, bizarrely did not come with this critical tool which is needed to unscrew the proprietary screw head that secures the faceplate to the ring doorbell. (This is my second ring doorbell. The first one came with the proprietary tool that fit the screw on that doorbell. The screw head on the doorbell pro is different than my previous ring doorbell so I couldn't use the same tool with this new doorbell pro). Anytime you need to reset the doorbell pro you have to take the faceplate off the device and scan the QR code sticker on the device. That's not a big deal if you have this tool. Please note: Although the setup process in the ring app leads you to believe that you can reset your ring doorbell pro device by scanning the barcode on the box that the ring doorbell came in, that doesn't actually work. You scan the barcode on the box and you get a pop up message that says you need to scan the QR code on the device.So, if you have a ring doorbell pro you must have this tool.We had an electrician install the ring doorbell pro and apparently he had something in his tool set that tightened the face plate screw. When I needed to reset the ring doorbell a day later, I wasn't able to get the faceplate off to scan the QR code. We've been homeowners for decades and didn't have anything in our collection of odds and ends of tools that would fit the ring faceplate screw.I was so grateful to Amazon that they were able to deliver the tool to us very quickly because our ring doorbell was out of commission until I was able to reset the doorbell.
