So, the camera itself? Fantastic, you'd almost think it's daylight from the nighttime picture quality. Install, not bad at all. However... the battery life on this thing is atrocious. Two battery packs drained within a couple days, and don't bother with the solar kit. Mine literally has direct sunlight all day long (when it's available, of course) and it doesn't even come close to recovering the spent energy. That said, order it with the hardwire kit. I recommend this for any of their cameras, the doorbell cams will go a week or two but why mess with it? Those are even easier to wire, just a Ring transformer or a 24V (?) transformer and some low voltage wire, done. This one's kit requires that it be wired to household voltage (120V) but it's well worth it. Keeps the batteries charged too in case of power loss.

We've bought about 12 of these wonderful cameras over the past few years. They work great outside (even with TONS of rain), a reasonable price, and don't need any wires (can do solar panel or battery).

We installed this with the solar panel on the gutter over our rear door on our vacation home. It's subject to freezing temps but great sun exposure. The battery life is still in the mid 90 percent after 2 cold months. The camera is fabulous to cover the rear of the house and yard area beyond the door. We have had older generation ring cameras we were happy with but this far exceeds them. We are buying an additional one to add to a secluded side of the same home. Nice to have peace of mind and the ability to check in.

Not a bad little camera and the motion light is very handy.Installation was easy and getting the unit online was a breeze.Battery life is very dependent on how often the light comes on and how bright the light is set, but it's not bad. The extra battery slot is a great idea and I immediately got an additional battery for it.The camera is a little more grainy that expected but good enough for home security.

The birdseye features doesn’t work well yet given the map partner doesn’t have imagery for Australia. Amazon needs to fix. They’ve said it’s on their roadmap.Otherwise the camera is great and new 2022 technology over the previous 2018 one.

I purchased two of these because I'm already using Ring products for my home, and I chose the battery + solar option because there's no electrical wiring available.Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that the battery life of the cameras was incredibly short, and even with the solar panel fully connected and power efficiency settings at their minimum, I had to charge the cameras every week. Despite following all the troubleshooting steps recommended by Ring, I saw no improvement in performance.At this point, I can barely rely on the cameras to function properly. If you're in the market for a solar or battery-powered camera, I suggest looking elsewhere.
