I picked these up hoping I could get them to function in the bunk fans for our Pop Up trailer. They are actually a perfect fit and work great!.There is some wiring and drilling necessary to make these work. The job is easy if you know what you are getting into. I removed the resistor from the low speed switch and wired these in with the high speed switch. The knob on these have a click/off position which is perfect. I noted that although during the day you can't see it, at night you can see there is a red LED on the board which glows through the plastic housing of the bunk fan but it is not annoying at all. At low speeds these are perfect, and there is no motor whine.

Worling perfectly to control the speed of a Legos motor in a model V* engine.

- This is a nice small-sized unit that 'clicks' when the knob turns to "off", which I especially like because there is no confusion at all as to whether it is or is not completely off. It seems to be well-built and pretty sturdy. I like the small size - it fit into my project with room to spare. - FWIW: I use it to run a salvaged 12V DC CPU Cooling fan with a heat-sink; I use most of these salvaged fans with controllers and "wall warts" as spot/personal fans, since I prefer their directed air-flow to the generally weaker and diffused sir flow from the items sold as such - though I used one very-high-throughput (210 CFM) fan "salvaged-detergent-carton mini vacuum", which sounds goofy but actually works well for pulling in sawdust and chips from miniature-woodworking. These little units allow very smooth control of the sir-flow, which is also nicer than the typical "low"-or-"high" options.

Well designed and manufactured. A bargain really (the parts are worth more than the cost). A couple of comments however. There is no common ground between the input power and the output pwm signal. If you try to connect them together, the unit won't work. This makes it difficult to actually use in many applications. I had to design and build my own pwm module which is similar. Second, the output waveform is not a clean pulse. There is some undershoot on the downside. Not sure why this is and could easily not be a problem in application. There is also no documentation provided. None is really necessary I guess, but there should be at least a small sheet, even if just for marketing purposes. This is something that it seems none of the Chinese manufacturers understand for some reason. The engineering and quality of their electronic products deserve at least a half a sheet of documentation. Doesn't really cost anything.

Used them to regulate the voltage to 5 V fans so I could lower the operating speed. Worked exactly as expected. Would buy again.
