How to reset and use your Trigger lock
- To set your own combination:
- Leave the dial at opening position.
- Push the button with a Mini Screwdriver And hold it down while setting your own combination and release the button.

Before purchasing this, a person needs to understand what they can be used for. I don't know that I would recommend this for childproofing. A person with a little time and persistence can open these. What I use it for is if I leave my weapon at home. I still hide my weapon but if someone were to break in and find it, they would steal it and be gone. They will not stick around to try to figure out the code. That way, if I come home and surprise them, they will not be able to shoot me with this weapon.

Bought combination trigger lock. The lock arrived closed & locked & set at 000. Instructions say the lock comes came with default combination of 000. Lock would not open. Returned lock to Amazon and received a replacement. Second lock also arrived closed and locked and would not open. Do not buy this lock.

I left a previous review about the lock not working and being unable to get support. I am embarrassed to report the only defect was my inability to read the directions….the lock works great and is simple to use, just turn the combo face and it opens. Highly recommend and thank you for sending a replacement so quickly even if the first one was not broken.

I bought the pack of three. They are solidly built and have a good, positive lock up. The combo lock is easy to operate. The combination is very simple and easy to set. I very much appreciate that these trigger lock companies produce these locks with rubber padding in the lock to protect the surface finish of the trigger and guard. I'm happy with these locks. I prefer the combo versions because I'm far more likely to lose the keys for the keyed versions or forget them at home than I am to forget a 3 digit combo.

Canadian Tire sells these for $18 a piece. These are $8.40 each. That alone makes this a good deal. They work perfectly. You can change the combo to whatever you want, they are adequate for Alberta Firearms Transportation guidelines, fits pistols, rifles and shotguns. Out of the 17 firearms I've tried them on, they fit them all. They are easy to use, though a bit greasy at first.One thing to note is that setting a new combination can be a bit tricky. I found it to feel a little...off. It took a while to set the combo right and I feel like it could have been a little easier and clearer. Sometimes it would lock up and I wouldn't be able to move any of the moving parts. Once I set it properly, it was fine but it took a bit of work to make sure it worked perfectly every time. Nothing would be more aggravating than driving 100km outside of town only to not be able to get your firearms unlocked. Make sure they lock and unlock properly before you leave.Compared to what you can get at most department/outdoor/firearm stores this is a great deal for a great quality item.
