RioRand PWM Motor Cotroller
- 1.DC motor controller input is DC, not directly connected to the AC power, otherwise it will burn out.
- 2. The positive and negative poles of DC power supply should not be connected inversely, otherwise the controller will be damaged.
- 3. The motor can not be divided into positive and negative, when the running direction is inconsistent with the expectations, can be adjusted to change the direction of the wire sequence.
- 4. Adjust the potentiometer knob can change the output duty cycle of the controller, thus changing the motor speed.

The controller handled motor counter EMF without any hiccups. Speed range change was smooth with a linear potentiometer. It comes with 3/4 turn 5K pot that works well. Motor does change was also smooth using a10-turn linear pot. Solid construction and interconnects. Tests were at 6A, 13V. Very happy with this product. Great value. Cheaper to buy than purchase the parts and build.

This unit can be used to control brushed motors. Just the right size for 775 20,000 motors using a bit more current then the upgrade 3018 controllers can provide. It works great with the supplied pot with smooth motor rpm from near 0 to full (20,000?) rpm. It does not work with the pwm output because the supplied voltage is 12 volts and the unit wants 5V. This means the motor rpm can not be controlled by the 3018 controller and must be controlled by hand, so why have CNC control if you are using a knob to adjust rpm?

Great product, works good for my need. I used it to bower a 32 volt cage blower, the only reason I do not give it 5 stars is due to the range of control from slow stop to full boar is about 1/3 of the knobs or (pot) potentiometer if there is a way to adjust this and sell responds to the and it works I will give it 5 start asap. But it is a very hardy product and stands up well. The blower is at ached to a forge were we smelt down aluminum into liguid and then pour it so even though it's encased I'm a custom steel box panel it is still in a very hot and dangerous position that any cheap electronic board would fail in. So if will last well and long for any other app. I do plan to order another and more possibly in the future should a need arise. Buy confidently that it will function for you if it fits you range of needs spec wise.

This PWM seems reasonably well made, has nice set screws for contact wires. Used this on a winshield wiper motor to help regulate wiper speed, but alas, the low position of the knob provides the same wattage as does the high position. So I do not think this purchase was wise. The module works good, just does not achieve the goals I was aiming for.

I connected 12 VDC to the power terminals and connected a small 12 VDC computer fan to the "Motor" side. I tried to turn the rheostat knob to a minimum setting, but the fan still runs at full speed. I can measure the voltage with a VOMeter when I adjust the rheostat. The voltage range goes from 13.5 to 14.8. It will not go lower. I need to slow the fan down but can't. It runs at full 12-volt speed. This is a simple power-in power-out circuit. But I cannot figure out why I can't change the voltage to 6 volts as advertised. I will be returning this device.

I bought this as a motor controller for a camera slider I was automating. This is dynamite!!! It's voltage input range is fantastic, And the wired pot leads make for a versatile mounting arrangement. It works great, and works all the time. I'm just driving 12V through it now, but plan to up it to 24v, and it's great that it can more than handle this. No worries by purchasing this unit. If you need one, this is the one to get. Ordered on Saturday, scheduled to arrive Tuesday, but came on Monday! All around, a solid purchase. So fear not my Amazon shoppers!!!

Works well. I installed it to regulate my electric bike that had its regulator toasted. The 15A is right at the limit of power of the motor so the fuse blew a couple of times but if I am careful not to force it at max power, the new fuses last longer. Excellent for the price.
