Package color reflects approximate results when dyeing white or off white cotton using the stove top technique. Made in USA.DirectionsUse double the quantity of dye for dark or bright colors such as black, navy blue, cocoa brown, purple scarlet, dark green, etc. Add 1 cup salt for best results when dyeing cotton, rayon, linen, ramie or blends of these fibers. Add 1 tablespoon laundry detergent to dyebath. For most washable fabrics. Not recommended for 100% polyester, 100% acrylic or fabrics with special finishes, rubber backing, washable only in cold water or labeled dry clean only. Use RIT color remover before dyeing fabric to a lighter or different color. Complete directions on inside surface of carton. WARNINGS:Eye irritant. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash thoroughly after handling. First Aid: Incase of eye contact. Immediately flush with water for 15 minutes. Call physician. Keep out of reach of children.

Buy 3, get a better deal. I use this dye on all my black clothing. It keeps my favorite clothes looking new. I’ve been using it for years.

I was very skeptical about it at first, but I have these three pairs of jeans that turned grey a while ago and I did not want to spend more money on new ones. I used the 3 packs for 3 jeans and 1 t-shirt, followed the instructions and it worked perfectly and it's really dark black. I don't know how long it will last yet, but for now, it did the job!

I am amazed by how effective the black Dye Powder Dye is! I had a pair of jeans that had become so faded that I believed they were beyond repair, but this dye proved me wrong. It transformed my jeans and made them look brand new. The color is vibrant and intense, giving my jeans a deep black color that looks as good as when I first bought them.The dyeing process was also very simple. I followed the instructions on the package, and the dye dissolved easily in the water. I used these to complete a tyedye project that I had started with a tulip tyedye kit. I followed the instructions for setting the color but they came out awful. They were not even a light black or gray. It came out more like brown. They powder itself also didn't devolve well and left a gritty residue on the fabric.

I used this product to cover Clorox “bleach stains†on a black pair of pants (cotton & synthetic). This product involved mixing vinegar and hot water in a plastic container to which the stained pants were added. I found the whole process cumbersome and tedious which I could have accepted except that after washing the pants there is no trace of the dye on the garment and my stains are as visible as ever. A total waste of time, effort and money.

dyes like dye should dye. That's what I like about it. I color my work jeans after they fade. Bam! new looking jeans for six more months of work. Then I toss the jeans after they are worn too thin for protection.I wash all clothes first. Then run washing machine nearly full of pure hot. Then pour in 2 pots of boiling water. Add dye (4 packs of denimb blue and 1 pack of black). Then turn on washer and add clothes. I let it run for 15 - 20 and then let sit (turn off) over night (dont let it rinse, just stay on wash mode full of dye and clothes) Then I just start my washer and let it finish. I set my washer for extra rinse cycle. Then put clothes in dryer.You should wash a load of darks thru your washer after this b/c of potential residue in washer. Then dry them in dryer to help eliminate any dye residue in dryer. This is the way I do it. Clothes hold color very well. Possibly not good for people with lots of yellow or whites unless you plan to wait a few loads before running light colors. That's what I do.

Every year, I dye my black jeans and black t-shirts. I'm not hard on clothes so they last a long time. I just don't like the faded look, so I dye mine to keep them looking new. I have saved a lot of money on clothes shopping by doing this each year. I love dark blue jeans with black t-shirts, and deep black jeans with colored shirts. This dye brand works the best.

What took an eternity to arrive and came via normal post was the smallest boxes of clothes dye I have ever seen in my entire life. They looked like play items for a child’s toy shop. Returned for a full refund as I’d need 30 boxes this size to dye 1 pair of adult trousers. Teach me to read the size guide carefully next time.
