I am a CWI working mainly with pipe. I own many G.A.L. gauges, and this works just as well at a fraction of the price. The compact size is great for carrying every day. The markings are durable. The calibration is spot on. I have not had a problem with any screws losing their ability to tighten, but even if they did, you can buy 5 of these for the price of the G.A.L. branded version.

Great tool for measuring welds, we have a few at work but you can never find them so i bought my own, always handy to have in yr bag for when you need to use it. Checked against the ones we use at work and identical measurement so very pleased.
