I forgot simple principles of physics and purchased without really contemplating it. Since it’s being used for Ethernet there is no way this device can work as described unless you want to use one device at a time with the unused one powered off. Not clearly indicated in the description. If I could I would give it 4 thumbs down.

Works great, everyone who writes that this product doesn't work hasn't read it correctly and doesn't understand that it is used in pairs...You must connect two cables to the router for this to work. These splitters really work. Ignore my previous comment. Works perfectly, take a close look at the instructions and the connections you need. I will continue to buy.

Well made.Apparently, almost all negative reviews are due to improper use of splitters. However, this is explained in the product description and package insert. This is the most important thing:The two connections must first be merged using one of two splitters, such as those coming from a switch or router. For example, then plug the splitter cable into a wall outlet. On the other end, use a second splitter to split the two connections again. - This means you need two splitters to route two connections through one cable. I will buy again if necessary.
