This filter is well made. Solid construction. The three built in 1/4 inch threaded spots let you easily install two pressure gauges - a real nice plus! I found cleaning the filter to be difficult/tedious because: a) the metal cinch band that holds the top/bottom together can be finicy to put on (I wish I had 3 hands several times), b) the weight of the water in the filter makes the bottom 'heavy' so it is inclined to fall (gravity is still a constant), c) the 120 micron filter plugged up very quickly with my irrigation water, so I was having to open/close/clean the filter too often. I should have bought a filter with a brush-away or scan-away type of semi-automatic cleaning, and I should have bought a filter with 300 micron screen (or larger) so it didn't clog up so fast. Summary: for most situations with clean water, I think this filter is EXCELLENT! However, since my canal water enters in with some moss/snails I needed to replace this with an easier to clean model. Summary of Summary: If you have cleaner water (so you don't have to clean it too often) this is an EXCELLENT filter!
