Great price point and the seals did what they're intended to do. My vacuum pump was leaking near the bottom of the pump, ordered this reseal kit and worked like a charm.It's an easy install to swap out the worn seals. Took me more time just cleaning the components and around the cylinder head where is was leaking than it took to remove the pump, place in the seals and reinstall the pump.

Online instruction available for installlation. Quality part at a reasonable price. If you have bled you diesel VW brakes thoroughly and still can't get a firm brake pedal, your vacuum pump is likely in need of this kit. Easy to install and a smarter choice as the vacuum pump body and drive rarely go bad.

It works great but installing the brow/orange O ring, was very tight for where it was going, slipped off like 30 times and had to assemble that piece very fast or it would slip off the o ring grove due to it being slightly too small, I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be this tight or not but it’s doable and only a minor setback. The black seal that is stiffer and in a specific shape was perfect size. But I’m glad I Stopped my vacuum leak at the source!

Had a very leaky vacuum pump which means it wasn't working as well as it could. Install was pretty straightforward. It was a little battle to keep the seals (shaped o-ring) in place while assembling pump but I got it. About 2 hrs total, but I am very anal about being clean and methodical.

I had that TDI for 18 years. It was a good car and I did most of the work on it, even R&R on the timing belt and front control arms.This was one of many parts I got over the years to do the various jobs.Can't say how durable it was b/c in 10/23 I had the TDI shredded and received $1500 for doing my part to help in the fight against global heat.And I'm diggin' my new car, a BMW i3 EV!If you have kids, do them the favor.
