The Flex core is made of ultra strong and water-resistant polyester fibers surrounded by a blended Technora/polyester sheath that provides solid abrasion resistance with enough bite to hitch firmly onto ropes.

Summary: I previously bought the Rope Logic offering, and will be comparing it to the RNA one for this Vine review. Both companies make quality gear, lots of +4 star ratings.Observations: This hitch cord is used to make a prusik knot, which is commonly used in climbing applications. The typical lengths are 28, 30 and 32". Both of these are 8mm (5/16") diameter cord, which is common. Thicker cord, such as 10mm tends to be easier to release, but also doesn't grab as tightly (relatively).Pros: Great quality offerings; both made in the USA.Cons: RNA is slightly newer than Rope Logic, and has less ratings/reviews.Conclusion: Rating the Ocean Logic 5-stars, and the RNA 5-stars.Related Products:RNA 8mm Flex Hitch Cord - Blended Technora®/Polyester Sheath Provides Solid Abrasion Resistance (28 inches)Visit the RNA Store5.0 out of 5 stars 3 ratings$22.75https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BYF3BVN8ROPE Logic Ocean 8mm X 30" G Spliced Eye & Eye Prusik Cord Rope, Green/TanBrand: ROPE Logic4.6 out of 5 stars 246 ratings-6% $27.11https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072VP8YK7

I use this hitch cord with a carabiner attached to my main line. I can attach power tools and a bucket to it.This is a tough, well-constructed cord that isn’t easily abraded. I’ve hung 80+ lbs to it with no concerns about breaking or the eyelets giving way. This is a handy hitch cord that stands up to the abuse.

I think thix is a quality piece of equipment. The rope is comparable to slings I have from other manufacturers. For an 8mm rope it is pretty flexible. Each end has substantial stitching covered over by a plastic sleeve to reduce the possibility of the ends snagging on other equipment. Whether this is suitable for use as a prussic or any other purpose will depend on the size of your climbing rope, skill level, and other factors in your setup and use. I see it as a valuable item to have on hand.

This is a quality prussik cord, made for the task and appears to have better abrasion resistance than cheaper cords. It's slightly stiff, so once tied it holds shape nicely but also releases easily. It's very nice in use. Price is solid for the quality.

Feels like a good quality and should do the trick. I like that it's stitched and coated in plastic.Going to try it out this weekend.

Good handleability. Tight weave and doesn't hoop when twisted. Good eye stitches. Very please with the quality.

I use the 28 inch cord for a third hand when rapping. The double loops make it easy clip. Sterling products are quality and safe.
