Constructed from 30% glass filled nylon and stainless steel, ensures superior strength and zero rusting. The stainless steel backing plate and bungie loop allows for quick fitting and removal of the belt reel. You no longer have to take weights off your belt each time – simply slide them apart and clip the backing plate directly to your belt. The backing plate has an integrated handle, enabling you to remove the reel even while spinning to clip it onto a float. The width of the plate gives stability while rewinding the line. The open style spool ensures rapid drying of your line after a dive and better control of line feed when rewinding. The spool, (the same one used on the gun reel), is able to hold 60m of 1.8mm dynema or 90m of 1.5mm dynema. The stainless steel fairlead ensures that your line runs smoothly and will never wear into the guide. The quick release loop is easy to find by feel while fighting a fish. The Rob Allen Vecta belt reel is setup for right handed divers, but can easily be converted for left handed use. It can be fitted to any make or style of belt, but is an ideal add on, to the Rob Allen Marsellaise weight belt.

I received the new rob Allen real with the red knobs instead of the black knobs that are from the previous model.Item is as expected and looks good. 50m of 2mm line just fist on. Line not included, as expected. Belt not included, as expected.I haven't fished with reel yet but everything feels sturdy and attaches to weight belt easily. If they. An fish with it in South Aferica then it has got to be sturdy and feels like it will last.Premium product at a fair price.

It was falsely advertised, I bought the reel and it was plastic. There is no stainless steal metal back to the reel. There was no line on the reel either. If anyone asks me about this product im going to tell them that amazon/the company ripped me off. The picture is different than the product and is deseaving. I am very very dissappointed because when It came in the mail it was completely different from the product details. I paid $144 for a piece of plastic that is worth all about $25. Please change the picture and discription. Also, please include that it doesnt come with line or a belt... Please say it is a reel only.
