I have used many different end pin holders over the years. I especially like this one because it is very easy use while getting ready to perform on stage. It is not too flexible and lies flat very easily. My only complaint is that it is a little too long.

This does a great job at preventing the cello from slipping. The leather pad provides a non-slip surface that firmly grips the floor. It has eight spike positions that allow for precise adjustments to suit different playing styles and preferences. This flexibility has significantly improved my comfort and stability while playing. It seems to be crafted from high-quality leather and is sturdy and well-constructed.Setting up the anchor strap is straightforward. It has an adjustable strap that makes it easy to secure around any chair leg or other anchor point. Once in place, it remains secure and does not shift, even during vigorous playing. The compact and lightweight design of this anchor makes it easy to carry in my cello case. It doesn't take up much space, and the leather material is flexible enough to fold or roll up neatly.

I recently acquired the Rock Stop End Pin Cello Strap for my granddaughter. She loves it. Not only does the strap prevent the cello from moving, it allows he to relax her knee grip on the instrument. It is a simple, cleverly designed tool. One end has an opening approximately the size of a chair leg and the other the eight pin place holders. The chair leg is inserted in the large opening, the cello “pin†is inserted into the hole which the cellist finds to provide the most comfortable position and voila no more slipping, sliding cello. A great tool.

This strap is the perfect solution for both stabilizing your end pin and protecting your floors. Its design allows you to loop one end under your chair and easily adjust the angle with hole options along the strap. I play both a cello and a 3/4 double bass, and now use this for both, as I typically play bass with one knee on a chair/stool. This strap has definitely saved my hardwood floors and takes the stress out of playing in other people’s spaces, as it is slim enough to pack into any case.

My wife has been learning cello and has had a simple strap to keep the end pin from moving around. Unfortunately, it would move around and only had one spot to put the pin. This strap has a great silicone backing to it, helping keep it stay in place on the floor. And with the various rest positions on the leather strap, it stays just where she wants it. While she uses one that has a cap on it (perfect for the non-metal positions), the metal spots are great for if she used a pointed spike on the end.One thing I have noticed is that the silicone backing pushes out somewhat where the metal rest holders are, and I can foresee these wearing through the silicone. Time will tell, but it’s definitely something to consider.Overall, it’s a good strap that should see lots of use.
