I ordered these solely because the title says “Four Beveled Edges”. I wanted the beveled edges because I have them mounted on double swinging doors in our store that staff often pushes through carrying boxes and bins, and the cheap, thin ones I got at Lowe’s were squared off and sharp around the edges, and give an occasional knuckle scrape if you hit them the wrong way. Well, these are also squared off and sharp around the edges, negating the entire reason I bought them. Fortunately, they are quite a bit thicker and more substantial than the ones I was replacing, so I was able to bevel them myself with an angle grinder, and smooth with a file. Another issue, which wouldn’t matter if you only need 1, is that of the 4 I ordered, there were three different types of packaging. One of the plates was finished with a vertical brush texture and the other 3 have a horizontal brush texture. Who cares, until you mount 2 right next to each other on double doors and one looks a lot shinier than the other depending on how the light hits it. I didn’t notice until they were already installed, unfortunately on the customer side of the doors. Now I have to switch that odd one to the back side.
