This is a very versatile electric strike, and as opposed to other manufacturers, this one comes with two different sized faceplates! One is a standard ANSI cutout (4-7/8" x 1-1/4") which fits the strike cutout in most steel frames, and the other faceplate is great for wood frames (7-15/16" x 1-7/16"). Other manufacturers also have electric strikes with 2 faceplates, however they are both ANSI size, just a square corner faceplate and a round corner faceplate. You have to pay extra to get an 8" faceplate.Also you can get "lip extensions" for this electric strike to extend the lip for those wide aluminium frames that need it.As a security specialist / locksmith for over 25 years I've installed many of this model ROFU electric strike and every single job went smoothly. This is the electric strike to have.
