I used this on my 40 foot tower and it works great. The alignment was perfect considering how closely the other sections lined up. I have another 50 foot tower I am considering putting up and I will order another plate if I do. I can raise and lower the towers with a 1500 pound electric ATV winch from Harbor freight. Perfect set up when you can't always count on help.

The alignment of the hinged base with tower sections was not correct. To make this work, would require risking the integrity of the welds. The photo shows the best possible alignment we could achieve without attempting extraordinary means. It is possible that a bend occurred during shipping or it could be a result of some deformity of the receiver pipe on the hinge plate. I have had the small end section of a Rohn mast bent during freight transport which could be corrected using a conduit bender but this problem is not so easily remedied. Rohn products are generally good, I've worked with many, but no process is perfect.

the product quality is high, but you are pretty much completely on your own as far as erecting it. their customer support is unhelpful and their universal answer is "get an engineer". they need a healthy dose of competition to get their head on straight.

Needed to be modified to make the hinge work. Very upset since tower was ready to stand and would not hinge.Cost another day of labor that is not recoverable.

If you have put up any Rohn 25G tower for amateur radio you will know there is a huge benefit to having this pivot base plate. If installed along with a side-crank standoff this allows for simple easy one-person lowering of shorter towers. As always, ensure you installation follows OSHA standards and any applicable local and federal laws regarding antenna height, especially in restricted areas.Aways follow the manufacturer recommendations, and use structural planning for the height you plan to install.An issue occured not to the fault of the seller, but to fault the shipping company. This was quickly remedied and they have been supportive for any product needs with this pivot plate.
