I mounted the first set outside to the ceiling of my lanai..and slid in my 10'6"SUP Board..yes it worked but I added a cord to keep it from sagging (the straps aren't long enough or strong enough to handle the weight of a 30lb board without bending or flexing and when you slide the board into them, they only hold 1/3 of the board.. they need to be longer and made with thicker material.. I'm just going to go to Alro metals and get some heavier bar and make another set..If you have a regular surfboard/longboard I think these would be fine for a fence mount..or ceiling mount..but to each their own...a they say..

Very strong. I purchased to hang from a pitched ceiling and didn’t work for me. The point of contact (where board sits) is only 13â€. Another company makes longer racks but the distance from board to wall/ceiling was too long. These are only 6 inches at that spot which I really liked. I would only recommend these for wall mounting.
