It may be made of plastic but it seems really strong. Easy to adjust with nice size knobs that have a positive feel. My drum pads are very secure. The price is reasonable. I hope they last for decades like my all metal parts. These will never seize up like my metal ones though. I can always adjust these easily. Maybe that is an advantage of plastic. I say plastic but it is probably a nylon composite or something. They have a quality feel to them.
