Note: This is NOT compatible with the 2-door Jeep Wrangler JL.
Important Installation Tips:
1.Insert the tap making sure that it is perpendicular. The tap must go straight into the hole.
2. When turning the tap back into the hole, carefully blow the metal shavings from the area to keep the threads clear.
3. Be sure to use a washer on both sides of the mounting Fully tighten both bolts.

Screws need to be shorter because the JL has a weld inside tap hole. Simple enough fix though great product!

I like this item, it is simple and easy to install.My issue is, that it could be even easier with a jack nutwhich would not require you to break the factory paintcausing the opportunity for rust.Use a Jack Nut anchor and be done with it.

We mounted 4 - 6.5†marine speakers in the back of our JLU and this was a perfect solution compared with all other mounts that we looked at. This is virtually the only model that works with both the hard and premium soft top. Definitely worth the money.

The hardest part is tapping the threads, would be great if they included the tool for just a bit more money. They hold 3 6×9 speakers just fine with little to no wobble.
