I was able to assemble the NICOMOW book cart myself without a scratch. I installed one shelf backwards but that was my only hiccup to be corrected. The screws take some pressure and strength to get run down but I found a that 1/4 inch ratchet with a philips bit makes it much easier once the screws are started. This unit is packaged with strong sheet metal corners to prevent shipping damage. It arrived with no damage whatsoever partially due to this foresight. I’m particular about my final result with assemblies like this and I wasn’t disappointed in this case. Once the main structure is assembled I found that laying the frame on its side to mount the shelves makes this doable with one person. For the cost, this book cart is a great deal.

Be aware that 12" Binder Notebooks won't fit on the second and bottom shelf. I had to make some adaptations to readjust the shelves.Otherwise, I like the slanted shelves. The notebooks do not fall off as easy as the standard straight shelf.

Shelf arrived nicely packaged with corner protection to cover the dings, scratches and paint chips underneath. None of that bothered me since it would be full of books. Then I started to assemble it. The person who designed this thing is a sadist. One example...there are 6 large silver screws. 5 of them screw in perfectly. The sixth is slightly too small. I tried a few other screws. None of them fit. I ended up putting a small screw in a wall anchor then in the screw hole and that worked well enough. The whole assembly is like this...everything almost works but doesn't. I gave up after a few hours (the instructions aren't helpful). I highly recommend not buying this. If you do, have a second pair of hands. It's not a one person job. I'm returning this and trying another brand.Update: the seller was very responsive & apologetic. They gave me a partial refund even though I didn't have the documentation they wanted (package SKU, etc.) I still think the design/directions are more awkward than necessary but I really appreciate the customer service so I'm giving them 4 star. Protip: Don't throw out the packaging!

As we were putting this together there were several screws that didn’t fit the threaded holes on this so we had to run to the hardware store to get the correct size…. Then once assembled we went to put the caster wheels on it …. There’s 4 wheels that have screws on them to screw into predrilled threading and out of the 4 only two of the wheels actually fit because the threading is smaller on two of the legs and since it’s already put together why g wasn’t easy at all …. so now we have a rolling shelf that can’t roll because it only has two working wheels!! Reached out to the seller and they still haven’t replied! Very frustrated

Perfect for my small bookshop! Relatively easy to assemble if done with plenty of light. Looks nice!

The cart is very sturdy with all metal construction. I got it put together in about an hour. The problem is, because the way it is packaged, you can expect slight damage on arrival. It's surprising because it seems like they package it well. The box stayed rigid and they even put metal support corners in the box. But the way they put the wheels and other loose parts in the box almost insures it will arrive with some scratches and/or chips in the finish. We exchanged the first one we bought because it had scratches up the side of the cart and chips in the handle. The box arrived looking great but the cart still had damage. The second one arrived with another great looking box, but it also had scratches. We decided to keep it because my wife really likes the cart. I tried to reach out to the seller but you can only contact Amazon regarding the problem and the only option is return or exchange. I just wanted to tell the seller about the problem but getting in touch with them is not possible. So, if you can deal with a little damage, it's a really nice cart.

Even though I had read the dimensions once I got it put together is was bigger than I expected sturdy and holds my books that I am currently using for research. Putting it together takes time. I found that only tightening the screws partially until all the screws were inserted and then tightening them all worked better and made it easier to line them all up.

The screws provided for the basic construction did not match the horizontal rails. I needed to purchase new screws and re-drill some holes to put the thing together.
