This is a SUPERB device. Please note NOT ALL POWER SUPPLIES ARE THE SAME. The recorder in my Roland VS 2480 is actually as good as any top pro recorder out there. yet the POWER SUPPLIES in the Roland are not that good. there O K but not as good as the RPB 486 i just purchased. I learned that a while ago and so i went with an inexpensive external supply that worked better. Yet it still was not as good as the RPB. The R P B 486 and my Studio Projects C-1 condenser mike is as good as it gets in home recording. Easily as good as top flight recording studios. Not only can i hear the difference, but i can see the difference looking at the wave form structure. More DEFINITION. As quiet as it gets i highly recommend this unit. This is a classic case. I'm teaching you in 1 minute what it took me 5 years to learn about power supplies. A true Rolls Royce for sure. Rog

I am using this to power some DI boxes. I haven't had any issues with it, and no problems with it adding any noise to the lines. There is an odd issue on the unit I received where sometimes the LEDs on the unused channels light up, but this didn't bother me enough to send it back. It does make it hard to see what is actually utilizing the phantom power though.

While I can't imagine a lot of folks need one of these anymore, I was using a vintage mixer that only had 24v phantom and a couple of mics that most definitely wanted 48v. Not a problem. Just throw one of these in your rack.I'm using a modern mixer, now, but I can't convince myself to get rid of the Rolls RPB486. It works, and you never know...

Put this in another room. The interference and noise this pulpit brings into your rack makes the entire thing unusable.

Unit does what it is designed to do. Provides 6 channels of phantom power for microphones requiring phantom power.Highly recommended.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do: supplies phantom power and leaves the signal clean. I dig it. Yeah.
