This tuner is very good, with great sensitivity. Truly a professional tuner. When connected to a good quality amplifier, it provides excellent quality sound.

Purchased this item to replace an older model (Rolls RS79B) which I discovered had an issue whereby the outputs were producing a hum & distorting the audio on the xlr & rca outputs, yet interestingly enough not on the headphone out jack (which I was kind of pleased was a 1/4" phono jack, & not a 1/8" mini jack as is the case with this RS81B.NOT a deal breaker to me, that's what adapters are made for, but having experienced the full set of features that theRS81B sports, including the visual display RDS feature, included remote, as well as the FM dipole & AM loop antenna, the cost (and piece of mind) knowing the item is warranted and backed up by Sweetwaters extended warranty program made this purchase a worthwhile one for me, as I prefer to send the output from the XLR's on the back vs. the rca outs.The headphone jack/output is solid, & sufficiently powers my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm headphones quite well.The sensitivity of the unit (for fM) is Great, even with a simple dipole antenna (for my needs, the proximity to the transmitter and signal NOT overloading the tuner was of slight concern to me, but wasn't an issue at all, and for AM, the reception for me in the midlands of Columbia, was very reminiscent of tuning up & down the band with my old GE SuperRadio.Love this Rolls RS81B (which is why I bought a second unit) for at home/personal listening, in addition to adding to the studio rack to monitor off air.

Disregard the previous review from this author for the Rolls RS81B tuner, That review was for another piece of equipment, which I mistakenly posted. The Rolls RS81B tuner has been very satisfactory and I especially enjoy the AM reception, which, together with an outside antenna, lets me listen to many regional stations, and some quite distant ones, at night. The sound quality is very good on AM, and is great on FM. I searched the web for quite a while, before settling on this tuner and it performs even better than I had hoped.

Looks great, sounds great. Had to find a way to make sure I would never have to listen to a Bruce Arians broadcast again. This beauty and an audio delay device did the trick.

For my setup. I like the mp3 readout. So most of the stations read the song that was playing. I have to find my UHF adapter to see if I can get more station. Will be back to re review this review. If the UHF adapter works with this radio tuner.
