Impressive sound quality considering it's price class. I had been using the Behringer PP400 and the Rolls VP29 TTL runs circles around it!!! Definitely a "warmer" and more inviting sound. Prior to using the Rolls VP29 TTL, I had to apply a generous amount of EQ to achieve the warm sound I was looking for. With this phono pre-amp, I flattened out the EQ, sat back and enjoyed the music. With a VERY low noise floor (nothing discernable to my ears), I can recommend this to those audiophiles on a budget.

Great valaue, nice packing, sounds great but it’s came with a fisical damage, the other downside for me is that not have a turn on switch so the only way to turn it if is unpluggin the ac

I had a vintage pre-amp on my turntable that was on its way out. Replaced it with this ttl preamp and what a difference. Clean and no clipping that I can hear. Works great with my modern Sony receiver and my vintage Pioneer TT.7 year update: Still going strong, still happy with it.

No power button is a real PITA

I don't know if there is any difference between this model and the regular vp 29 except for the paint. I received the red Rolls vp29. Ultimately I felt ripped off and returned this and got the cheaper Pyle photo preamp. Didn't even plug it in.

New to the overall vinyl/HiFi game, but a friend suggested I check out this preamp instead of relying on the one built into my audio technica turntable. Doing a comparative listen through this and the built in preamp - through my Yamaha receiver & Pioneer (SP‑BS22‑LR) bookshelf speakers - I can definitely say having a good preamp makes a major difference.

Bought this to connect to my Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC turntable. SO HAPPY WITH IT. I have it connected to my soundbar and subwoofer - and wow, the experience is totally different. Not much else to say: affordable (especially after throwing down for a turntable and starting a record collection), works well, easy to setup.

Does what it should, and I haven't noticed any issues with its sound. It's worth noting, however, that there are no controls on it at all, neither a volume control of the 3.5mm stereo plug (so it's rather meant as a Line Out and not a headphone plug), nor a power button (though you could work around that by switching its power through the receiver's power).
