My refrigerator freezer was not working so well. I used a room fan on the coil until this came. Removal and installation is a little snug, but the part worked great. Saved tons of money and a service call. I'm glad it worked out. It's been several months and still working great.

Check your green resistors!I ordered 3 motors and all three had open line between red and white. What an embarrassment coming to a customer and your new motor is dead.I waisted 450 miles and 3 visits to my customer. I am done. Just ordered an OEM, yes it's 4 times more expensive but You getting what you pay for. All 3 motors are have open line no continuity between any wires. I have power 13.6v DC at the motor plug between both white and red(power) and white and yellow (signal). No blue wire at the plug from refrigerator. I finally got the original motor and tested between white and red and there was resistance also appliance store rep told me that usually when motor gets shorted inside it burns out one or two green resistors and advised me to check even though I have voltage at the plug the control board is processing speed through the yellow wire... Guess what I connected my new OEM motor and it didn't work so I open the control board cover and there found an issue my green resistors were burned down. So have to replace the control board as well. Maybe this info will help someone to avoid the frustration when you have power and your new motor doesn't work - check your green resistors.

The motor is not the original but it does the job just fine. It save me hundreds of dollars.

Our GE (model GSS20IEMD WW) side by side stopped cooling suddenly a few days ago. I have NO experience with fridge/freezer repairs but after removing the rear bottom panel could see that the compressor was working while the fan wasn't. First task was to set up a small box fan to blow the compressor heat into the coils and give us a few days with a semi-working fridge. This motor replaced the old WR60X10065 motor (see photo, that's the old motor so you can see how it sits in the housing) and it works perfectly. The fan unit itself was a little difficult to remove and I'd suggest taking multiple photos of the housing & bracket if you're new to this type of fix. Also the electrical connection to hook the motor up was quite tight, but it's got my fridge freezer running again and that's what matters. And a final quick heads up for those who are new to this type of repair - the fan motor housing has sharp edges! Don't ask me how I found out! It's only been a few hours but the fridge seems to be running fine again. I'll update this review if anything changes.

The fan fixed my warm fridge issue and replacing the old fan with the new fan was fast and simple. Far exceeded my expectations!

Like many of the other reviewers, this is not a drop in replacement. I had to physically modify the casing to fit and I had to make the recommended adjustment to change the airflow. If there were a different part available, I'd consider purchasing the other option. This item will work electrically but it will require patience and knowledge of how to make the adjustments to make it work.
