This item was not installed in my ceiling light cans. The new LED upgrade lights require two on opposing sides of can to anchor spring holders of lights. Work great are a great value and easy to install with included screws.

Perfect for my needs. My sister had recessed cans that had a single spring hook at the top. Easy for me to install these on the sides of the cans to support the new retrofit surface-level LED lighting in her kitchen. I used the screws that came with the brackets and had no problem with them threading nor removal when I need to reset the location. Recommend

Once attached the clips worked perfectly. The screws they provide to attach the clips to the can would not bite to hold tight, so I had to use other sheet metal screws to attach these

Got retrofit LED for existing recessed cans. Old trim was different so the can had no clips on the sides for the pins on new lights. They wouldn’t stay in, then when they did it was crooked. These are prefect, screwed right on to the sides if the can. Snug fit now.

These clips were great when you are retrofitting, newer, LED lights into older traditional can lights that cannot accommodate the springs of the new lighting..

My home is about 20 years old. So I have the older style 6†recessed light housing. Without these clips I had no great way to install new led lights. These worked perfectly and I had my light installed in 10 mins!

Once I got the hang of these and where to put them the job went quickly. I had to retro fit cans without clips to take Spring LED’s. I had to use a pins and then drill pilot holes for these cans. After that they worked great and the lights popped right in. I put the first one about 2 1/2 inches in but then realized I needed the spring to be able to open to get a tight fit. After that I went to about one inch in and they were easier to install and the lights fit better.

Everything arrived quickly and as advertised. Installation was pretty simple but I was working on a six inch recessed can so I had room enough to get my hand in the can. My Skil 12v impact driver was also small enough to fit in the six inch can without the need for a 90 degree adapter. The added light that the driver provided was also helpful. I did need to use a punch to create a dent in the metal can so the screws didn't wonder around. The only thing that might have made the job a little easier would be if the screw head could fit a socket. The screw heads are round so I used a Phillips head bit in my driver and it all worked fine. I would recommend punching a dent in the can, drive the sheet metal screw in, then remove the screw and add the c-clip, then screw it back in. I measured 1.5 inches up from the bottom of the can to punch my screw hole.
