Usage Tips For You
Step 1
Flour the basket generously . If you just want the shape benefits without the distinctive markings, line the basket with a floured tea towel.
Step 2
Plop your shaped dough in the banneton, nice side down. Cover in the linen liner or tea towel and leave it alone while it takes the second rise.
Step 3
Flip the dough out of its cozy-basket-home and onto whatever implement you'll use to transfer it to the oven tray or a piece of parchment paper.
Step 4
Make slashes on the dough using the bread lame so that the steam can escape from the bread in a controlled manner. Bake as directed in the recipe.

This is a great set that includes everything you need to make a perfect loaf of bread. It includes multiple high-quality tools, including metal and plastic scrapers, a dough whisk, and a scoring tool with extra blades. There is even a recipe booklet. The baskets are sturdy, and flour shakes off the liners easily. Previously I was using whatever I had handy in my kitchen for proofing and didn't know what I was missing. Every sourdough baker needs a proper banneton basket!

This is a good starter kit. Only complaint is the wood on the bench scraper seems to kind of “shedâ€. I am often left with the wood color on my hands or little specks of it in my dough. I only use the white bowl/bench scraper now and threw the metal one out. Everything else is perfect for sourdough making!!

Bought this set as a Xmas present. All items arrived, all in new condition. There was even a small recipe booklet and bread baking instructions there were nice small additions. This is the budget option I wanted and it has performed.

I was very excited about this and once I had open the package I was disappointed. Unfortunately I do not have my dough whisk which I was looking forward to be using soon. Everything had came in the package except the dough whisk. Don't get me wrong the items in the packs are great quality. I am very happy about the stuff that had came. Looks just like the photo advertised but that I just wasn't expecting the dough whisk to not be in the package.
