This kit is absolutely loaded with rivets. With this kit you will have enough rivets for either a couple very large, very colorful, projects or a lifetime supply, depending on how much you use them.The tools used to mount rivets are NOT included. If you are getting this kit you are probably already familiar with the tools needed and have them at your work bench. If you are new to this process, In order to attach these rivets you will need a hammer, hole punch, setting punch, rivet anvil, and a really hard surface like a steel plate or stone slab (like a marble cast-off). You can substitute the hole punch with a utility knife but that can get tricky.The two halves, male shank and female cap, fit together very well and appear to be of very good quality. The rivets engage easily and crimp smoothly, The finished product looks very nice and professional. They look great and are identical from both sides of the leather.All-in-all. The rivet variety is fantastic which gives this kit a huge array of versatility. I would certainly recommend it.

Review of: 4colors 8x8mm double cap rivets, 120 sets.These are very nice double cap rivets. I they are separated by color into individual bags, which makes it simple to pick which color I want to use and get started.I do leatherwork often, and thought I had the correct tool for these, but upon receiving them realized I must have thrown it away the last time I reorganized my tools. This set does not come with the anvil and domed rivet setter needed to set these, so you should only get them if you already have one, or if you don't mind having a dent in both sides of your rivets once they're set.These are fantastic. The top clicks into place onto the bottom piece, and even with the wrong setter, the grommets are easy to set (they just don't look very good when you use the wrong rivet setter, again, my fault, not theirs) both with a tool that you hammer, and with a grommet press.I used all 4 colors, and they all perform equally well. I received the same quantity of each, and will be purchasing these in the future for my leatherworking needs.They are good quality, easy to use, and they look just right.

The color is not consistent, the paint peals off easily while pressing it and the rainbow color is not consistent throughout the sets’ heads.

These rivets are good enough for me. Some people may think that they are a little thin. It doesn't bother me. I make bags and they seem good to me. They might not be good for leather.

I'm working on a custom leather collar for my dog, and thought these rainbow rivets would add some nice color to the project. They're nice looking -- feel sturdy enough, heads are smooth and round, and the stems can actually accommodate some thickness, too (which is great, because my project is going to end up about 5 or 6mm thick, and I'm going to need some rivets that will go all the way through the full thickness).One gripe -- they rattle. I only tested one out on some scrap leather, but the way the rivet heads are attached, they make a rather annoying rattling sound, even when hammered on. I'll test again on thicker leather (more like my finished project thickness) to see if the rattle stays even when compressed with no gaps. If it does, these are pretty much a no-go for a dog collar for me. I'm sure I'll find some other projects to use them on, as they look fantastic, but the sound is a deal-breaker for my intended use.Update 11/5/22 - I finally tested these on my thicker leather project, and as suspected, the rattle is gone! 5 stars. Just make sure you get the right size for your project. Thin leather is a no-go.

I was glad to see that this package consisted of rivets only and no installation tools. I already have a few sets of installation tools, so I really don’t need another set. The post is ~3mm thick, so make sure you have the proper leather punch for it.When I first picked out one of the 10mm rivets with the post in it, I noticed that the post and rivet head are 2 different pieces and they slide around a little and have a little jiggling noise. I looked at my other rivet sets and they were all the same, so I guess I really never noticed that before. Plus, once I set the rivet, I couldn’t hear any noise or feel any movement.Just be careful with the 10mm heads since they can get bent a little easier than the smaller heads when installing them.

Super beau. Le seul problème c'est que si on les pose sans outils particulier, cela endommage le rivet en le cabossant et lui fait perdre sa magnifique couleur. Même avec les outils non gournis pour posé des rivet, ils perdent de leur patine a l'endroit ou l'outil l'a toucher.

These 60 sets of Double Cap rivets were supposed to have a rainbow finish. As you can see in the photo, something like 18 of them were rainbow, the rest AND the backs, were something between light blue or yellow as the quality of the finishing was so poor. Very disappointed with them, therefore returning.
