Definitely more grip, but you still need adequate weight on the rear of the tractor. I put these on a Craftsman 917 series tractor for blowing snow. much improved traction, but I think I need more than just the wheel weights in heavy snow. They fit well and are easy to put on once you do it a few times. The first time will not be fun, but you'll figure it out. I'd recommend a bungy or two, or a official chain tightener.

I could not get them on even though it said they were the correct size. The directions were really poor so that may have had something to do with it. I give them a one star because I had to return them the same day

These fit well on a craftsman riding mower. I used small bungee cords to tighten them as wellMy yard has some steep sections and these help with traction in those areas

Packaging and shipping were fine and label on bag match description, but though I got the tire size I ordered for right off the tires, the chains were much larger than I needed (by several inches in length). Also, they didn't match the picture (cross chain spacing). Rather than spend a bunch of cash to send them back, I'll use them for what I use other old tire chains for - dragging rocks and boulders around for rock wall construction.

I had to shorten them slightly but that is very easy to do. They do the job. I put these on the front wheels of my machine to help with the steering. They work fairly well for that. Not perfect, but better than bare tires.

No bag just chains. Will have to see if they even fit properly.
