I did a lot of research before buying.. and this is the right one for me...There is a large range of products in rotary tools.......get the one that fits your tasks..... I already have powerful corded ones, variable speed, for the more rugged jobs...... I wanted one that is portable, needs no cord, and lighter in weight.. I will also get a small pen size one for certain tasks.. This one is larger, but also has more power than a pen sized one, so I can do more things with it, and 5 speeds is plenty. I used a burr to write my name on wood, and it works great.. this tool comes with a bunch of blades, burrs, a wire brush, polishing and sanding wheels.. I already have a lot of other accessories this can use.. and it has an adapter that enables it to function kind of like a trim router.. for inscribing.. I have not tried all the accessories, but I did test it out and I'm very satisfied, a lot for the price actually, considering it will last a long time and be used often. there are others out there, take your pick. if you get this one, I'm confident you will not regret it.

I had a Ryobi Rotary tool for years and it finally bit the dust. I was kind of glad because this new on being rechargeable makes it handier to use. It has a bunch of attachments and all the tools you need for it. Used it to sharpen some outdoor tools and it did a great job. I used my last one for a hundred different things and I can do those same things with this tools but so much faster and easier. Love this tool.

I have a small fabrication shop and have been using the harbor freight corded rotary tools. The motors held up well and had enough power for what I would use them for but I always had issues trying to keep the chucks tight. I haven't used this a lot yet maybe two charging's and haven't had that issue yet. Seems to have good power and a decent run time. Time will tell.
