This is an outstanding swim snorkel. Purge valve at the bottom works great, seals at the top allowing for flip turns without taking in water. I like the fact that it rotates out of the way so you can get a drink during your workout without having to fight the mouthpiece. I only wish that I had purchased the clear snorkel instead of the black one, as it would disappear in front of my face instead of having a black tube in my line of sight. Definitely recommended.

I am one of bad swimmer who had trouble learning the proper breathing technique for many years! With the front mount snorkel, I can swim for minutes without a rest!! Normally I could not swim more than 25yards without a rest with heavy breathing because of CO2 build up, with this I can do laps after laps after laps :) I am sure that it will also help with my breathing over time!

I loved this product initially! I can only breathe to one side during freestyle swimming. Using this, no more worries about that. I've used this snorkel roughly twice a week, 30-45 mins each time, for about 3 months. Recently it started getting water in it after flip turns. The last time I used it, it started getting water in it even while swimming with no flip turns. I would think it would last longer than that.

After 2 uses at my gym's lap pool, I found the "Dry Top" mechanism stuck closed. I got it to open by smacking it against my palm several times and began my workout (thinking it was a minor glitch; it is a cheap-ish swim snorkel). On my first turn, the whole snorkel flooded and caught me by surprise. Luckily, I'm used to regular snorkels so i tried huffing out the water after surfacing and found that it wouldn't clear! The mechanism somehow got stuck closed again and I had to rip the whole thing off my face to catch a breath. The lifeguard sounded his trouble whistle and was about to jump in when I was finally able to stop coughing and told him I was ok. I know foreign companies like "Uniswim" can't be held legally liable for this kind of dangerous junk but AMAZON and Mr. Bezos can be. They need to step up their QC / Product Research or go back to selling books.

The point of getting a clear snorkel is for hygiene, but not sure about this as the top is closed, making it hard to clean.

I am using this along with a swim belt for pool exercise. It works properly but will not lock in the upper position. It stays in place securely while swimming. I will keep using it and probably upgrade to a better quality product once I am comfortable with this setup.
