So I’ve used a few bearing packers in my time, this is the modern style with one major improvement. Rather than having to push down really hard to pack the bearing with this one you can twist the t handle and the bearing will pack pretty easily. I like it, but after using it a bit I’m not really sure I like any of these modern bearing packers better than the old school cone type. Here’s the thing, once you load it with grease it’s pretty hard to remove the bottom cup, so from my perspective you’re better off just loading it with a grease gun than trying to remove the lower cup and add grease. It works pretty well but I don’t see it as being any quicker or much of a time savings over the old school packers. That being said, it is less messy and it packs the bearings very well.All in this is a great improvement over the style you push down on, seems like it will hold up pretty well and does a very good job of packing bearings. I’d recommend it if you need a new bearing packers but k wouldn’t recommend buying this s an upgrade to the old school style.

I’ve used different types of grease bearing packers in my time as a professional mechanic and always went back to palm hand packing for the best results and use of my time. But it is very messy, so I am always open to a better idea. This modern style packer is an improvement over past packers I have used. Rather than having to push a handle down really hard to pack the bearing, with this one you can secure the bearing with the T handle, and the bearing will pack pretty easily with a grease gun. It does a very good job of filling the area between the rollers with grease. From reading the reviews, I don't think some of the reviewers are using it properly. You don't fill the packer with grease and then push the bearing down into the grease with the T handle. You put in the bearing in the device, secure it n place with the T handle and then use a grease gun to pack the bearing. It's a quick and easy process, but it is still messy but not as messy as filling my palm with grease. That being said, this new tool does a good job of packing bearings. If you need a new packer I recommend this packer. If you're looking to upgrade your current packer the upgrade is not that significant to justify the purchase. Recommend

This bearing packer is going to be just the thing for me this spring when I re-pack my bearings and replace the tires on my utility trailer. I've been putting it off, as I just hate how much grease ends up all over you when you do this by hand. This tool does the hard and messy work for you, and offers you two different options for adding grease to it. You can either dump it in, or use the grease zerk fitting to shoot the grease into the section of the tool that ultimately moves the grease from the bottom into the bearings for packing. This not only helps with the mess, but a bearing packer does a much more thorough job of packing grease into bearings, and you run much lower of a risk of running dry because you didn't pack them well enough. I'm very pleased with this tool.

All though this thing does work it just takes way to long in my opinion. I can use my finger and get 5 bearings done in the same time it takes the screw the handle down to pack the bearing. Maybe if there was like a drill adapter that would speed up the process then I could see this being a 5 star item.I decided to use the grease nipple at the bottom as my way of filling the cavity with grease and it took a lot of grease to fill up. I get that it'll be used more than once but for my use cause it isn't logical.The item works but very inefficienty, a few tweaks will make this item a lot better.

Oh yeah I've been wanting one of these bad boys for a hot minute now! Packing bearings by hand is terrible, messy, and very impractical. This bearing packer is a fantastic design and so much nicer than the bearing packers you see at the autosupply stores. I love that it has two ways to fill up the unit, either by scooping grease into the canister or pumping it into the canister via the grease jet on bottom. The canister feels very sturdy and robust and should hold up well in the shop. It came slightly greased so you can get the plunger in and out easily and they also included 3 stickers! Gotta love the stickers! I will totally be getting more of these in the future 10/10 would recommend

I've used this type of grease packing tool in the past and they always worked pretty nicely but could be a bit messy. I like that they changed up the design a bit and added a grease zero, that feature should prove to be a game changer when I go to repack my boat trailers bearings this spring as well as help make quick work of packing the bearings for my work van and our truck's front end. For the price you can't go wrong when it will save time
