Since I don't have a table saw to cut dadoes for my drawer box bottoms, I needed a convenient way to cut the dadoes with my palm router. The router edge guide DNP618 fit that need. It's very easy to install, use, and with the 7/32 straight bit, The dadoes came out perfect. I highly recommend this product.

Despite some reviewers comments, this fits the Dewalt DCW600B Compact Router perfectly and it's virtually identical to the OEM version for less money. It's constructed from robust sheet metal just like the OEM version.Few things to note:1) This can be used with or without the clear acrylic fixed base.2) It can be mounted with the fixed base in either orientation as it rides a few mm above the base3) When I originally installed it as removed from the package, the fence hit the base first but a little pull upward bent the fence enough to nicely clear the base. Note: I didn't have to use any significant force.4) Just like the OEM version, the fence can be mounted in two orientation. In the pictures I show both cases. In the short stroke position, fence can be used for 0" to 5" from the cutting bit. In the other orientation, it goes from 8" to 13". Note that in the first case, the smooth part of the fence can be used as is or with a secondary fence for better registration. For the second case, the curve ends of the fence faces inwards and I suspect a secondary fence is a must for smooth operation. NOTE: Using secondary fences will reduce the numbers above. So, use relatively thin stock, like 0.5" or 0.75" with counterbored screws to minimize range loss.5) This is probably true for the OEM version as well but there isn't a simple way of using this fence for anything between 5" and 8". The only way to do say 6" or 7" is to use a thick fence. Worst case would be to use it for an application requiring 5.1" distance, which will require nearly 3" thick secondary fence.

This router guide is pretty good - one just has to get used to using it. That is, becoming consistent holding your trim router while cutting, otherwise, you'll veer off your line . I use a DeWalt 610 router and it fits the alum. base accurately and tight. Good price and glad I have it. It comes w/ 2 screws that match the base and has an adjustable arm for depth of cuts. That all works well and it sure beats setting a straight edge to make cuts. Reasonably priced and well made.

This was easy to install. Has a place for to store the screws. Like that it has a thumb screw. Took me a minute to figure out where to install but one I did it was easy. Would recommend.

I would have been easier to have a thumb knob to two to tighten the edge guide to the router base instead of two screws however, the jig has onboard storage for the two screws so that they do not get lost.Seems to be sensibly made, the edge runners have bent edges at a slight angle for a smooth sliding operation.Maybe I can find some wingnuts at Ace Hardware to use...

Cheap construction but works ok for certain applications. Not very solid so limited use.

Was looking for a router guide to install on our 20v dewalt router. This guide is perfect! Used for two different project and was delighted by the quality of the guide, ease of use, weight, and overall how it elevated abilities with the cordless router that were only available on our corded router before this purchase. Recommended guide!!
