We haven’t had a year yet. Warranty is good for 1 year. Screen went out. We called and all we got was that we had to return at our expense and it would take at least 3 weeks to get back. We are a restaurant that has to have 2 registers and they were no help at all!

NICE CASH REGISTER WITH EXPANDABLE OPTIONS. BEWARE OF THE FACT THAT PROGRAMING ON YOUR PC TO DOWNLOAD TO THE REGISTER IS A BREEZE, BUT THEY DON'T MENTION YOU HAVE TO BUY A $50 KIT TO DOWN LOAD IT. ROYAL CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THE BEST

I purchased a couple of these registers as Royal also produces software to load the registers via their "Cash Register Link" The link doesn't work, their customer service promises to contact you (its been a month & 3 calls to them) The registers are difficult to say the least if you have to enter everything on their split keyboard. I wouldn't recommend any of their products based on their lack of concern of their failedsoftware.

Purchased the Royal 7000 ML Cash Mgmt System from an outside store - Not Amazon. I'm giving this review to help since there is absolutely NO online information about this machine. Plugged it in - Brand New, out of box - got an Error message for the printer that I couldn't clear and froze the machine. After an hour of looking in the manual, unplugging/plugging back in, going online, hitting all the buttons and screaming at it, I finally broke down and called Royal Customer Service.They were no help and a waste of 15 mins being on the phone. I finally figured out that you have to unplug the machine, put batteries and receipt paper in and plug back in. This cleared the Error message and let me proceed to the setup process. Since I had an Error message and no way to figure the fix ( the manual doesn't explain this and assumes you have a prompt to continue) I would've never put the paper or batteries in first since I was following along the instructions in the manual.If you are still having issues, unfortunately I would highly suggest calling Royal 800-272-6229 Option #4. But be prepared to be frustrated. I figured out the problem while Customer Service "Steve" repeated the same questions off his task sheet.So far this has been the only issue so I feel I can't give a true assessment until after my training session with this monster. I will try to post an update for a full review and any problems if they occur.Hope this helps, thanks for reading.

Had issues with this register immediately. It's not the easiest to set up to begin with and then the journal roll was faulty. No matter what was done, it wouldn't stay tight on the spool and kept crumpling and pooling under the cover. I contacted Royal directly to problem solve and we weren't able to resolve the problem so they advised to request a return from the seller. When I submitted the request to the seller it said to give them two days to respond. No response. When I went to contact them again I got a note that this item was no longer eligible for return. Pretty fishy that the window for return would end 74 days after purchase? Not 30 or 90 or some other standard window but a weird number and right after I reached out to them. Do not purchase from this seller.
